In a significant move to strengthen institutional collaboration, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun State Command, led by Sector Commander CC Leye Adegboyega, fsi, paid a high-level courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, at his palace in Ile-Ife.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was aimed at deepening strategic stakeholder engagement with traditional institutions across the state.

Commander Adegboyega, accompanied by senior officers of the Osun State Sector Command, emphasized the importance of royal institutions in promoting public safety, particularly in the area of road safety and community awareness.

During the engagement, the Sector Commander reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to fostering partnerships that will enhance the safety of lives and property on Nigerian roads.

He highlighted the invaluable role traditional rulers play in mobilizing grassroots support and facilitating behavioural change in local communities.

In his response, the Ooni of Ife commended the FRSC for its consistent efforts in reducing road traffic crashes and for reaching out to traditional institutions in the spirit of cooperation and nation-building.

His Majesty expressed readiness to support road safety campaigns and initiatives that aim to safeguard the lives of citizens.

The visit marks another milestone in the FRSC's ongoing efforts to build sustainable alliances with key stakeholders as part of its broader mission to create safer road environments in Osun State and beyond.
