2021 Queen Moremi Ajasoro Leadership And Cultural Pageant: Registrion And Things To Know - Ife City Blog

Registrion for the 2021 edition of the annual Queen Moremi Ajasoro Leadership and Cultural Pageant has commenced with participants standing a chance to win mouth-watering prizes.

The Pageant in a post on its official Instagram page @qmainternational announced that the overall Winner will go home with a Branded Car and a cash prize of N1million Entrepreneurship fund while participants are also to be funded with start-up capital.

The Queen Moremi Ajasoro Pageant is one of the programmes under the Queen Moremi Ajasoro International Initiative of His Imperial Majesty, the Arole Oduduwa, Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife to celebrate the memory and heroism of the foremost and legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro during the annual Edi Festival.

The Edi Festival celebrates women, activism and cultural heritage of the Yoruba people and by extension the entire black race. It is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the heroic deeds of the foremost Queen of Ile-Ife, particularly the legendary roles she played in the liberation of the people of the ancient city during her time. It is a celebration of freedom for Ife and the Yoruba race.

Other activities celebrating the Great Yoruba Icon who is an embodiment of beauty, culture, freedom and rare intellectual prowess include Queen Moremi Ajasoro The Musical and Queen Moremi Ajasoro Arts Exhibition.
