The Arole Oduduwa and Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has said that the country, Nigeria has the potentials to constitute a stronghold in the contemporary global industrial space.

The Ooni had on Thursday in the company of President Muhammadu Buhari(GCFR) alongside other prominent Nigerians including the Sokoto State Governor Alhaji Aminu Tambual; the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar; the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele; among others graced the official commissioning of a new 3 million metric tonnes capacity line of BUA cement plant in Soko, North-West Nigeria.

Reflecting on the project in a social media post, the Ooni described it as a great source of admiration for him, noting that it is an indication of the Founder, Abdul-Samad Rabiu's dedication to shaping the socio-economic realities of the northern region in particular and Nigeria as a whole.

"Yesterday, alongside President Muhammadu Buhari and other eminent personalities across Nigeria, I was filled with admiration at the commissioning of a new line of BUA cement plant in Sokoto with the production capacity of 3 million metric tonnes.

"Indeed, it is clear that the dedication of our brother, Abdulsamad through BUA group is propelling Nigeria to lead new economic growth through exponential job creations. It also holds the key to firmly addressing the complex security challenges of banditry, insurgency, and others prevailing issues that are confronting us as a nation.

"This investment trajectory is indeed a roadmap to fulfilling the recently launched National Development Plan (2021-2025). Our nation is full of unexploited minerals resources that are deposited all over the regions which can initiate new economic culture and proudly create massive employment opportunities.", the post read in part.

The foremost traditional ruler in the post however called for improved policy formulation and implementation in the area of developing youth innovative entreprises as this is the best way to further position the country on a competitive level in the current technologically powered business World.

"Our highest priority must be to boldly anchor a new economic growth outlook by reaffirming Nigeria's position as potentially, the most incredible nation that is shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution which is benchmarked on technology and innovation.

"Our nation's over 130 million young populations are already in the wave of this movement through their wholesome ingenuity and incredible cutting-edge knowledge skills that is creating new economic benefits that befit our nation and the continent of Africa.

"By drawing on the patriotism and global entrepreneurial enterprises connection of our young people, through the right policies as a nation, Nigeria can become one of the pillars of the fourth industrial revolution thereby laying the foundations needed to reproduce in millions the legacies of Abdulsamad, Dangote, Adenuga, Funke Opeke, Otedola, Stella Oketete, Tony Elumelu, Akinwumi Adesina, Amina Mohammed, Pat Utomi, Okonjo-Iweala, Benedict Orumah and several other distinguished Nigerians that are shaping our nation's development.", Ooni added.

Ooni Ogunwusi further in the post charged northern indigenes to emulate the initiatives of Abdulsamad and other investors to work more on industrializing the region as this according to Ooni will go a long way in solving the security challenges facing the region mostly especially banditry and other criminal activities as more people will be gainfully employed.

"Like several others who have raised concerns, I’m appalled that we don’t have northerners leading by example by building more industries in the North. Indeed charity begins at home, and truly this is the only way that banditry can end.", the monarch stated.

Drawing from the lessons of EndSars era, The Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria saluted the Nigerian youths, nothing that they remain the backbone of the nation.

He therefore charged them to remain steadfast in their quest to building a just, equitable and indivisible Nigeria while also assuring them of his unflinching support at all times.

"I pay a special tribute to all young Nigerians. You all have my unbroken loyalty as I pray for you daily to form a national cord of unity from North to South, East to West, and strategically spark the change that our nation desperately desires. #Endsars has taught us that you remain the truth of Nigeria and the nation cannot survive without you.

"Therefore, our quest to build just, resilient, and equitable nation will only happen when your praymid of patriotism is towards Nigeria and not its ethics sentiments that have plagued and set us backwards for decades. Rise up from your indifference approach and be counted because Nigeria is counting on you and Africa is waiting on you.", Ooni concluded.
