Nancy Isime, Laycon, 98 Others Awarded By Ooni At The 3rd RAYLF Awards

Afro-Rap Artiste and Reality TV Star, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba popularly known as Laycon was on Saturday alongside Ninety-Eight other vibrant African youths, mainly Nigerians awarded by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II at the third edition of the Royal African Young Leadership Forum Awards, held at the Oduduwa Hall of Obafemi Awololwo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.

The annual event is a project under the Global Outreach Initiative of the Ooni dedicated to recognizing, rewarding and celebrating young vibrant Nigerians and by extension Africans who are excelling and making significant positive impacts in their various fields of endeavor.

This year's edition of the event themed, "Africa of the Future: Fostering Inclusive Prosperity for the Next Generation" was attended by notable professionals across different walks of life both from the private and the public sectors. 

Ooni in his remarks emphasized the key position occupied by the youths of Africa in shaping the future of the continent and achieving the vision 2063.

The monarch added that the Royal African Young Leadership Forum is an initiative birthed with an overall objective of archieving his throne's mission of building a generation of youths that will be well equipped to transform the continent's growth and take up its future leadership.

"Africa needs its finest and ever-dedicated young demographic that is rich in creative culture, governance and leadership, innovation and technology, entrepreneurship and academic excellence. These are the five-folder pillars that are shaping and reconstructing the very next modernization and industrialization of Africa.

"Candidly, from Lagos to Cape Town, Dakar to Accra, Kigali to Cairo, the young people of Africa are turning the tide as they remain the cardinal contemporary life-tube that accommodates that exchange of new ideas and solving the world's critical problems through various innovative and superlative mechanisms. I believe that their strategic contributions to the future of the continent are inevitable if we are going to achieve the Vision 2063, "Africa We Want"

"Over the last three years and for the decades to come, my ultimate significance and that of the eternal Throne of Oduduwa for the young population of Africa is to indubitably transform and anchor a new economic frontier by forming novel clusters through various mechanisms that are capable of giving the continent a competitive edge.

"This is the overall mission of the Royal African Young Leadership Forum (RAYLF), which I set up and designed as a catalyst to fulfill the mission of building a sustainable 21st century human capacity with the overall intentions of enhancing economic growth, inspiring possibilities, and recognizing Nigerian and African youths as the future leaders of public and private enterprises.", Ooni noted.

The prominent traditional ruler further maintained that it is high time the continent began to scale up the integration of its younger population's creative and innovative ingenuity into creating the much desired greatness and prosperity.

"Without a doubt, Africa can thrive well if we begin to accelerate the integration of our young people's ingenuity into the mission of fostering prosperity that we can all be proud of. They will continue to be the continent's future, which will be no small feat, given the vast global connectivity and integration to which this demographic is exposed to", Ooni added.
