The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, has stated that the fire that engulfed the Christ Embassy Church located at Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos has been brought under control.
In a statement on Sunday, Adeseye provided updates on the situation, stating that no casualties have been reported.
A serious fire outbreak rocked the main auditorium of the Church building located on Billings Way in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State, on the morning of Sunday, June 23, 2024.
A member of the Church who spoke on condition of anonymity told newsmen at the scene that fire started early in the morning as were worshippers were beginning to arrive for service.
The officials of the LSFRS had responded to a distress call and mobilised its men to the scene to put the fire out.
