Her Regal Majesty Ambassador (Dr.) Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi Leads Talks to Foster Youth Empowerment, Digital Education, and Girls’ Inclusion Across Continents
In a landmark engagement aimed at expanding global collaboration in youth empowerment and digital education, Her Regal Majesty (HRM) Ambassador (Dr.) Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, Deputy Convener of the Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa (HAI)—a humanitarian and development platform under the aegis of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II— on Sunday held a two-hour strategic meeting with the Interactive Bulgaria Foundation (IBF) team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The session, described as an introductory working dialogue, was chaired by Ivan Velkov, Chairman of IBF, and coordinated by Mr. Anton M. Samsonov, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s representative for Africa and Coordinator for the Balkans at Jet Age Nation Builders. Also in attendance was Ambassador Yanko Yordanov, former Bulgarian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The meeting focused on exploring practical cooperation between Nigeria and Bulgaria in education and youth development, with emphasis on digital skills, entrepreneurship, and inclusion of girls and women from vulnerable backgrounds.
Key areas of discussion included digital skills and youth entrepreneurship programmes, integrating 360-degree and virtual reality resources into classroom and project-based learning, teacher training and capacity building, and promoting access to education for girls and young women.
Her Regal Majesty, representing the Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa—founded and inspired by His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife—outlined several flagship programmes currently transforming lives in Nigeria.
These include the “She-Levate Tech Digital Empowerment Bootcamp,” a pioneering, girl-focused technology training launched in Lagos to equip young women with market-relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills; the “Ojaja Fashion Training Institute,” a free vocational fashion-design programme providing sustainable skills and employment pathways for youths, supported by HAI with ongoing training cohorts and graduations; and several public health and social initiatives.
As Malaria Elimination Advocate for Southwest Nigeria in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), Olori Temitope continues to champion awareness, prevention, and intervention campaigns targeting grassroots communities.
These initiatives, according to Her Regal Majesty, form the backbone of a development framework that can foster cross-continental collaboration with European institutions—especially in areas that align with global education and gender inclusion goals.
The Interactive Bulgaria Foundation presented its portfolio of interactive learning platforms and Erasmus+ cooperation projects, highlighting opportunities for collaboration with Nigerian institutions through HAI.
Notable projects include Study360.eu, an open educational platform for building interactive lessons using 360° imagery, video, and 3D visualizations; “AI in Entrepreneurship Learning in Schools (KA220-SCH),” a cooperative initiative developing AI resource centers and teacher training in entrepreneurship education; and Game of Business, an experiential entrepreneurship platform aligned with the European EntreComp framework.
Both parties agreed to establish a joint working group to design and implement thematic training for teachers and youth on AI integration, digital learning, and entrepreneurship. The discussions also included adapting IBF’s open digital platforms for HAI’s work with teachers and learners in Africa, exploring co-funding opportunities through international and European programmes, and strengthening institutional ties between educational ecosystems in Nigeria and Bulgaria.
In recognition of the growing partnership, the team from Interactive Bulgaria Foundation received an official invitation for a working visit to Nigeria in 2026, including a courtesy call to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, to further deepen collaborative engagements.
Her Regal Majesty Ambassador (Dr.) Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi serves as Deputy Convener, Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa (HAI); Malaria Elimination Advocate, Southwest Nigeria (National Malaria Elimination Programme); African Queen Mother, Afridu; and Peace Ambassador, Pan African American Network (PAAN).
As a global humanitarian, education advocate, and wife of the Ooni of Ife, Her Regal Majesty continues to embody the royal vision of His Imperial Majesty, Ojaja II—promoting sustainable development, cultural diplomacy, and human capital advancement across Africa and beyond.
Founded under the divine vision of His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa is dedicated to uplifting vulnerable populations through education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and social empowerment.
