The Ooni of Ife and natural head of the Oodua race globally, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has extended Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world, urging citizens to embrace unity, peace, and national cohesion as they celebrate the end of Ramadan.
In a statement released through his verified social media platforms, the Ooni congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the holy month, describing Eid-el-Fitr as a period that reflects deep spiritual values and human compassion.
“Eid marks the successful completion of the sacred month of Ramadan, a period devoted to fasting, prayer, self-discipline, and compassion for humanity. It is a time that reminds us of the enduring values of sacrifice, humility, tolerance, and unwavering faith in the Almighty,” the monarch said.
