The Ooni of Ife, Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, on Monday received the Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank, Tosin Eniolorunda, alongside members of his management team, during a courtesy visit to the ancient Ile-Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife.

The visit, according to a statement issued by the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, was marked by a rich display of culture and tradition as the Moniepoint delegation was warmly welcomed by the monarch, palace chiefs and traditional drummers who entertained guests with vibrant cultural performances.

Speaking during the visit, Eniolorunda expressed deep appreciation to the Ooni for his longstanding encouragement and support for indigenous businesses and young Nigerian entrepreneurs striving to make meaningful impact in society.

Reflecting on his journey, the Moniepoint founder disclosed that the idea behind the company was birthed while he was studying at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, describing his return to the source as both emotional and inspiring.

“I started Moniepoint here in Ife while studying at Obafemi Awolowo University. Seeing Kabiyesi today is a thing of joy for me because you have always encouraged me to strive for greatness.
