The Late Mrs. Virginia Asake Udo Ijiwoye Adeyemo was born to the family of Chief Solomon Emefu Nwogu in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, on May 20th, 1940. She was the last child of her parents, with four other siblings, and subsequently the last to be passed to glory among them. She was married to the late Chief Dr. Moses Abiola Ijiwoye Adeyemo from Ile Ife, Osun state, Nigeria. The union was blessed with children and grandchildren.

Growing up as devout Christian, she originated from an Adventist background, particularly the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Afer her matrimonial wedlock to her loving husband, she joined his Aladura Church, The Holy Church of Christ in Ile Ife, Osun State, where she was a worker in the vineyard

Having completed her primary and secondary school education in the Eastern part of Nigeria, she proceeded to higher institutions in the Southern part of the country, where she studied Nursing. Upon completion of her Nursing education, she kick started her Nursing career, working at various Hospitals and Clinics. She secured a Nursing job at the University of Ife's Health Center (Now Obafemi Awolowo University). She was later promoted to the post of a Principal Nursing Sister at the said Center, after aqcuring more advanced Nursing education. Her experience and hard work bagged her an additional title as a Matron. She work for several years at the Health Center.

Apart from her Nursing Career, Mrs. Virginia Adeyemo was a successful Enterprenuer. She established both the Mother & Baby Care Stores and the then popular Moremi Chemist, at Ile Ife. These outlets were directly opposite her husband's Mayfair Hotels, along Ibadan Road. She further ventured into goods distribution, particularly with the giant International Breweries, supplying and trading various drinks. Mrs. Virginia Adeyemo did not stop there, she established her own healthcare business, MOREMI CLINIC at Ojaja Street, Ile Ife. There, a multitude of patients were cared for, and a significant amount of babies were delivered under her watch. As a noted Enterprenuer, she also ventured into imports of various merchandise from abroad. Although she was not an indigene, but most businesses she ever ran was at Ile Ife, the Source of Yoruba Land.

While in the States, she continued with her Nursing Career and business. She initially lived in Atlanta, Georgia before finally settling down in Detroit Michigan. She worked for many years as a Nurse at Fairlane Nursing Center, and the Northwest Nursing Center, both in Detroit. She also worked as a Nurse with the Medical Team in Southfield, Michigan. As a dual citizen of the United States of America, she enjoyed all the benefits and freedom attached to it, but never for once forgot or denied where she originated from, Nigeria.

Mrs. Virginia Adeyemo was an active member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Detroit, Michigan, USA. She was the oldest serving member of the Church's choir. Mummy was a prayer warrior. She never for one day failed to join her prayer lines , RCCG winners chapel prayer line and Shadow of the Almighty ministries. She served the Lord with her whole heart and was so committed in service for God.

As rightly recanted by her oldest child,  Pastor Lekan Ijiwoye Adeyemo, "My dear Mother was a God fearing and hard working mother of five, who had lost two of her children, remained strong for the remaining ones. I thank God for her fulfilled life cos she found strength in us, especially her grandchildren she loved so much. Her demise is irreplaceable, as the vacuum she left behind would be hard to fill." Mummy was a hardworking and strong woman. Having had three knee replacement procedures, it crippled her physical activities, and was unable to work as before. According to her first daughter, Ms. Adenike Ijiwoye, Mom was a great encourager, as she wanted everyone she had contact with to succeed. When it comes to business, she was the best adviser, encouraging her children and others to look into different business opportunities in order to be more successful."  Her second daughter, Mrs. Olabisi Ijiwoye Famoriyo described her Mother as her best friend, stating that, "i don't think i can ever find such great confidant and selfless human being again. Mom was a mother that every child dreams of." Mummy will greatly be missed!

On September 19th, 2020, our Mother passed on to Glory. She gave up peacefully, without pain or agony, to the will of the Almighty God. Asake, rest in peace! As both a living and dying wish, our Mummy had wished for her body to be buried next to her husband, at The Holy Church of Christ's Holy Cemetary, Ile Ife, Osun state, Nigeria. As a result, a farewell/Homegoing service and viewing is being held at the Detroit World Outreach, Redford, Michigan. Her body will later be flown to Nigerial for the Final Burial Service.

Mrs. Virginia Asake Udo Ijiwoye Adeyemo, you came, you lived, you conquered! We pray that the Almighty God reposes your soul for eternity. May you blissfully rest well at the Bossom of the Almighty God. May all you left behind continue to flourish. As painful as your departure is, may we all be granted the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. All these we pray in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen. Goodnight, Mother......Till we meet to depart no more.
