A combined team of the local executives of Ife East Local Government, ward chairmen and the Southwest Official yesterday resisted an alleged probe of its state principal officers.

The executives while reiterating their unblinking support for their state officials however condemned the act, describing it as a pathetic display of unacceptable leadership from the State, adding that such move is uncalled for especially at a time the party is facing pressing challenges.

Their reaction according to them is sequel to the indictment of their Chairman Hon. Isaac Durojaye and the state officer, Hon Marcus Fadehan being circulated around the media space which they described as unjustifiable.

In a communique Signed by 12 out of the 17 local Excos and all the 7 ward chairmen that constitutes the entire Local Government, including the Southwest officer Hon. Babatunde Adewoyin, the communique reaffirms their absolute vote of confidence on the Chairman and dutiful state officer citing that their leadership has brought tremendous progress to the party in Ife East local Government.

The conclave went further to strongly condemn any attempt to indict any of the state principal officers whom they described as the driving force of the party in the local Government and expressed a strong resolve to resist any of such move that could hamper the wheels of off progress of the party especially as the 2022 State gubernatorial election draws near.

The executives however re-echoed their unwavering commitment to the ultimate goal of wrestling power back to the party comes 2022 and urged the peddlers to redirect their focus and energy to the goal rather than pulling down the house on themselves.
