SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS VISIT TINUBU AS FORUM MEETING HOLDS IN LAGOS

The Governors of the South-West under the auspices of the South-West Governors Forum on Tuesday evening met in Lagos.

The meeting which was held behind closed doors and hosted by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina, Lagos was according to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State in a Facebook post after the meeting, a moment of deliberations on important issues affecting the region.

"This evening, I joined my colleagues at another meeting of the South-West Governors Forum which was hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. At the meeting, we discussed issues bordering on security, governance and development of our region in particular and the nation at large", the Governor said.


The State Governors which also included Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo represented by his Deputy, Rauf Olaniyan; Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Chairman, South-West Governors Forum; Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun following the meeting paid a courtesy visit to the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence.

"After the meeting, we paid a courtesy visit to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an elder statesman, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his residence in Ikoyi. We used the opportunity to appreciate God for granting him sound health and his safe return to the country. 

It is our prayers that God will continue to strengthen and preserve him for many years to come", Oyetola stated.
