The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has said that the proposed Ife Healthcare City will serve the interest of all Nigerians.
Ooni stated this at the Oodua Economic Summit recently held in Maryland, United States of America where the project was unveiled.
Ooni at the occasion expressed his vision to build a world-class city that would enable thousands of people access quality healthcare services and education.
The Ooni Ogunwusi then charged the people particularly the Yorubas in the Diaspora to come and contribute to the development of their fatherland.
"Why can't you come together even if it is one dollar contributions amongst all of you like the way you want to set up the Diaspora Fund. Let us come directly as you don't even need to come through the government for everything.
"We have traditional rulers here. We have community leaders. Pull the fund together, come to Nigeria and buy a Bank.", Ooni stated.The event as monitored by TVC News was well attended by a good number of nigerians as well as American investors, majority of whom expressed interest in supporting the laudable project.
