The Governor of the state of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Monday swore in chairmen and members of non-statutory boards and parastatals. The appointment of the new hands, OSUN NEWSROOM reports, was to complement government’s efforts towards equitable delivery of quality and qualitative services and democratic dividends to the citizens across the sectors of the economy. Justice Raheem Akanbi Shiyanbola The Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, on Tuesday sworn in the newly-confirmed President of the State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Raheem Akanbi Shiyanbola. Hon. Justice Raheem Akanbi Shiyanbola, a native of Ede, Ede South Local Government, Osun State, Nigeria; was born on the 1st of October, 1960. He attended the University of Lagos, between 1980-83, and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1984. He was called to Bar on the 17th August, 1984. Hon. Justice Shiyanbola, after his NYSC at Legal Aids Council (1984-85), Benin City, He started his own law firm, R.A. Shiyanbola & Co. in August 1985. Osun Teachers Recruitment: "List Of Successful Applicants Is Ready" - Commissioner

Folorunso Bamisayemi, Osun State Commissioner For Education The Osun State Ministry Of Education has said that the list of successful applicants who scored a cumulative of 50% and above in the test and proficiency interview aspects of the teachers recruitment exercise conducted by the ministry is ready. The ministry disclosed this in a release on Thursday signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mr. Folorunso Oladoyin Bamisayemi. According to the release, 3,170 applicants scored a cumulative of 50% and above out of a total of 11,068 applicants who participanted in the exercise. The statement further added that the recruitment will be done in batches, noting that out of the 3,170 successful applicants, 1000 most successful applicants to be drawn from 6 critical subjects of English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture will make the first batch which according to the Commissioner is scheduled to be released by next week. Good News For Okada Riders In Osun As State Government Cuts Down Rates, Fines

The Osun State Office Of Transportation on Tuesday said that the State Government has ordered a reduction of road fines and rates on erring okada riders in order to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic realities on the transportation sector. This was disclosed by the Office Executive Secretary Engr. Bilal Adiat during a 3-day sensitization symposium with members of Osun Transport Marshal across the nine federal constituencies of the State. SCHOOLS IN OSUN TO UNDERGO STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY TEST, EXPERTS GAVE REASON

Four Mega Schools in Osun which include Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife, Ayedaade Grammar School, Ikire; Fakunle High School, Osogbo and Akinorun Grammar School, Ikirun are billed for structural integrity test by the State Government. A team of Relevant Selected Professional Bodies in the Built Environment handling the exercise led by Engineer Sakariyau Ademola on Tuesday in a statement explained the reason for the test. An inspection of the structural integrity and sustainability on the Mega Schools, OSUN NEWSROOM reports was ordered by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola-led administration on September 28, 2021 in response to an investigative report conducted by a consultant on the Schools following the collapse of one of them in 2014 with speculations that a few others have also had some structural defects. OSUN TO BEGIN RECRUITMENT OF AMOTEKUN CORPS

The Osun State Security Network Board has announced that it will begin the recruitment exercise for new Officers into the Amotekun Corps.  In a public statement signed by the Board's Secretary, Barrister Hassan Agbelekale on Monday, he said the recruitment exercise will commence on Monday 12th of April, 2021 and it will hold from 10am-4pm daily.
