Osun Guber Poll and The PDP Victory: Time For Genuine Reconciliation.

The Osun state election has come and gone, and with the overwhelming support and votes given to the governor-elect, His Excellency, Adeleke Jackson, it is obvious that the people of Osun cannot wait for the restoration of the lost glory and locust years of the APC. 

It is therefore very important for the governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory by ensuring that there is a genuine reconciliation among all the aggrieved members and that all litigations about the primary elections are discontinued without further delay.

The party must work together in ensuring that the dividends of democracy are given to the good people of Osun who have made this victory possible. The first one hundred days of Adeleke should set the road to Osun state recovery and restoration from poverty to prosperity owing to his five points agenda. 

For us in the PDP Reconciliatory Movement-PRM, we appeal to the Omooba Dotun Babayemi-led faction to sheathe their sword and give peace a chance. The ebullient lawyer and his team must be commended for maturity, statesmanship and commitment to the party's victory by staying in the party and supporting the party to win the election despite their grievances. 

Now that Senator Adeleke has won, he is no doubt the leader of the Party in Osun state and a political father to all members of the party in Osun state. We, therefore, appeal to him as matter of urgency to begin the reconciliation of all aggrieved members before the inauguration to avoid any form of distractions that can stop him from focusing on good governance and meeting the yearning and aspirations of the good people of Osun state who voted him to power. 

There is no better time than now to return Osun state to the orbit of her glorious past with a total commitment to project it into her glorious future and overall national development. With genuine reconciliation, Osun state will be great again and together we can make this happen. The umbrella is big enough to accommodate all of us.
