Ile-Ife: Queen Moremi Ajasoro Partners Osun Information Ministry For Cultural Promotion


The Queen Moremi Ajasoro International is to collaborate with the Osun State Ministry of Information in promoting Yoruba culture through the Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural and Leadership Pageant.

The QMA team on Tuesday led by their Global Ambassador and wife of the Ooni of Ife, Queen Ronke Ademiluyi as ably represented by Mrs Adetola Ogundipe paid a courtesy visit to the information ministry in Osogbo the State Capital.

The QMA team, during the visit disclosed its mission of promoting the story of Moremi Ajasoro across the Globe.

An environmentalist and member of the team, Ambassador Kehinde Olagunju, noted that the organization wishes to leverage the Ministry's information network to further boost it's efforts in promoting the legendary figure of Queen Moremi Ajasoro.

She added that the visit was specifically focused on advocating eco-friendly activities on the green earth to the state populace.

She stressed  that Queen Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi's interest in promoting culture is passion-driven with notable success stories on cultural heritage as proudly supported by her husband, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

The Moremi Ajasoro Cultural Heritage team accompanied by the the beautiful 27 maidens, all dressed in beautiful African attires were received by the management and Information Officers of the Ministry at the Government House.

Reacting, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, Barrister (Mrs) Olubukola Aderibigbe commended the QMA initiative on cultural renaissance of such historical legend of Queen Moremi Ajasoro.

Aderibigbe described maintained that the Ministry is the information management hub of the State Government, pledging its support for the forthcoming programme and subsequent editions.

The maidens were also led to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Osun Osogbo Groove as part of their excursion activities in the 10 day boot camp before the Grand Finale of the 2022 edition slated for Saturday December 3rd at the Ife Grand Resorts and Leisure in Ile-Ife.
