Osun: Solid Minerals Committee Begins Sitting, Calls For Memoranda


The newly inaugurated Osun solid mineral committee by Governor Adeleke on Tuesday began sitting with a call for memoranda from the public and concerned stakeholders.

The eleven-member committee in a release following the meeting signed by its Chairman, Samuel Olayinka Oyedotun, called for useful suggestions and ideas that would help revive the state solid mineral sector.

The statement read in part, "The Solid Minerals Committee inaugurated by the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke, in execution of its mandate is calling for memoranda from the public and stakeholders in the solid minerals sector. 

"The memoranda can be submitted physically at the Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, Osun State, or through digital media platforms listed below.

"Members of the public and stakeholders with suggestions or informations or proposals on how to improve the sector for transparency and better revenue generation are also enjoined to forward same to the mediums highlighted above. Thanks"

Governor Adeleke had on Monday inaugurated two committees on Internally Generated Revenue and Solid Minerals. 

The Governor had equally given the committees two weeks to submit interim reports on their findings.
