The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has sought the blessings and endorsement of the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Abubakar, ahead of the upcoming election.
Tinubu, who was with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), said this during their visit to Sultan’s palace ahead of his presidential rally in the state on Thursday.
He stated that he has come to seek Sultan's blessing and endorsement and that he is confident that his request will not be denied.
He said, “ We want to win election. And since that is what we came for, we seek your blessing and endorsement. It is something you cannot reject. I request because the President and Commander-in-chief of the armed forces is on seat. How can he be here and you reject? Thank you very much. May God bless you.”
