Akintade Blessing Temitayo Crowned Miss Akoraye 2023


Akintade Blessing Temitayo has been crowned as the new Miss Akoraye 2023 at the 10th edition of the annual Queen Akoraye Beauty and Educative Pageant.

The new beauty Queen is a Banker, Fashion Enthusist and graduate of the Adeyemi University of Education, Ondo State. 

She hails from the Olonade compound in Modakeke Akoraye Town in Osun State.

The Queen as the overall winner bagged a brand new car, ambassadorial deals and travel opportunities while the First and the Second Runners-up in the titles of Miss Culture and Miss Tourism respectively get consolation as well as cash prizes.

Speaking with IFECITYBLOG in an interview after being declared winner on Sunday, Queen Temitayo whose tenure will run till December next year, promised to use her new role for the promotion of Yoruba culture and facilitate projects for women and youth empowerment in the community.

The event, held at the spacious Modakeke Town Hall was graced by prominent personalities, royalties and cultural enthusiasts including His Imperial Majesty, the Arole Oduduwa, Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, represented by the His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekunle Adebowale, Agbolu of Agbaje-Ife Kingdom; His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola Ajibise Ogo I, the Ogunsua of Modakeke; Prof. Peter Olawuni, President, Modakeke Progressive Union; Ambassador Surajudeen Oladotun Ajilesoro who represented the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro; Prince Pade Okunola, among very notable others. 

In his speech, the coordinator of the House of Akoraye and Chief Organizer, Sumbola Temitope a.k.a DJ Hayad, commended all the participants for their courage while also appreciating all the donors and contributors for their magnanimity towards such an initiative which he noted is aimed at empowering the youths of the community, engender leadership spirit and promote the Yoruba cultural heritage.

Highlights of the ocassion included the presentation of Awards of Excellence to deserving individuals and lots of beautiful cultural performances by contestants and guest entertainers.
