The Ogun State Government has initiated moves to prosecute popular TikTok content creator, Ademola Abiodun, widely known as DJ Chicken, following a string of road traffic incidents that have sparked growing public safety concerns across the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ogun State Ministry of Justice confirmed that it is fast-tracking legal processes to ensure the entertainer faces appropriate charges for his repeated involvement in reckless driving episodes. Authorities said the decision became necessary after a recent incident added to what has now become a troubling pattern of road crashes linked to the social media personality.
According to the ministry, DJ Chicken’s actions not only endangered lives but also undermined ongoing state efforts to promote road safety and responsible conduct among motorists. Officials stressed that no individual—regardless of social status or online fame—would be allowed to flout traffic laws or compromise public safety without consequence.
The government added that the case has been assigned for urgent attention, assuring residents that justice will be pursued diligently and transparently. The move has been welcomed by several road safety advocates who have repeatedly called for stricter enforcement against dangerous driving.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies are expected to collaborate with the Ministry of Justice in gathering evidence and ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed as prosecution begins.
DJ Chicken, known for his vibrant online persona and massive fan base, has not publicly responded to the latest development.
The Ogun State Government, however, reiterated its commitment to enforcing road traffic regulations and safeguarding lives on all highways within the state.
