A new professional coalition, Renewed Hope Professionals (RHP), has formally emerged on the national stage, calling on Nigerian professionals at home and in the diaspora to move beyond observation and actively participate in nation-building, in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking in Abuja during a leadership convergence, the group described the current moment in Nigeria’s journey as a defining period that requires competence, patriotism, and collective responsibility from citizens across all sectors.
RHP positions itself as a non-ornamental professional movement driven by conviction rather than convenience, bringing together doctors, lawyers, engineers, technologists, scholars, innovators, and development practitioners committed to translating policy into people-focused impact.
According to the group, while Nigeria’s transformation may involve difficult reforms, the early signs of progress under President Tinubu’s administration reflect purposeful leadership and people-oriented policies. RHP noted that global development institutions, including the World Bank, have referenced Nigeria’s reform trajectory as a potential benchmark for countries facing similar structural challenges.
The organisation stressed that genuine national development cannot be achieved through slogans alone but through deliberate planning, data-driven governance, discipline, and professional competence.
Leading the Renewed Hope Professionals is Aare Barrister Oladotun Hassan, Director-General, supported by a national executive team that includes:
• Aare Kunle Oshodi – National Publicity Secretary
• Alhaji Danlami Jada – Director of Strategic Planning
• Seyi Mordecai Adekanmbi – Director of Contact and Mobilisation
• Engr. Mohammed Awal Ibrahim – Deputy Director-General, Northern Zone
• High Chief Barr. A.S. Abimbola – Deputy Director-General, Southern Nigeria
• Mazi Ebere Mark Aruagah – Director of Protocols
• Barr. Titilope Anifowoshe – Secretary-General
The leadership described RHP as an intellectual force dedicated to deepening the Renewed Hope Agenda by offering professional expertise, institutional support, and grassroots mobilisation across Nigeria’s states and communities.
Beyond political alignment, RHP says its mission is to shift governance conversations from emotion to evidence, from reaction to reflection, and from noise to knowledge — ensuring that leadership is strengthened by structured thinking and professional input.
The group also issued a broad appeal to Nigerian professionals globally — from Lagos to London, Kano to Canada, Enugu to Edinburgh — urging skilled citizens to contribute meaningfully to national development rather than remain isolated or confined to online criticism.
RHP affirmed its readiness to collaborate with existing professional bodies and associations, emphasising inclusivity and community impact. It pledged that no professional would be left behind and no community forgotten as it carries the Renewed Hope message into boardrooms, classrooms, villages, institutions, and digital spaces nationwide.
Looking ahead, the organisation declared its intention to actively support President Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027, framing its mobilisation efforts as part of a broader responsibility to posterity.
“This is not about personalities,” the group stated. “It is about what history will say of our generation — that when Nigeria needed builders, we showed up; when she needed thinkers, we spoke up; when she needed patriots, we stood firm.”
The statement was jointly signed by:
• Aare Oladotun Hassan Esq., Director-General
• Aare Kunle Oshodi, National Publicity Secretary
• Barr. Titilope Anifowoshe, Secretary-General
as Renewed Hope Professionals officially commenced nationwide engagement under the banner: Advancing the Agenda… Securing the Future.
