The ancient town of Ejigbo witnessed an atmosphere of compassion and renewed hope as the humanitarian arm of the palace of Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II carried out the impactful HAI Valentine Outreach 9.0, extending essential medical supplies, baby-care items, and emotional support to mothers and vulnerable families across the community.
The outreach exercise, organised by Hopes Alive Initiative under the royal leadership of the Ooni of Ife (Chief Convener) alongside Her Regal Majesty Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi (Deputy Convener), formed part of a coordinated humanitarian drive simultaneously reaching parts of Osun, Abia, and Lagos States.
The Ejigbo delegation was led by Chief Mrs. Fatimah Adeola Oyewusi, Wife of the Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, representing the First Lady of Osun State, Her Excellency Titilola Adeleke.
Also present in the royal entourage was Oba Elugbemi Eludoja (Agunloye II), who offered traditional blessings and cultural solidarity, reinforcing the deep connection between Yoruba royalty and community service.
During the exercise, the HAI team visited four key healthcare facilities in Ejigbo, distributing relief materials and engaging directly with nursing mothers and frontline health workers:
• Model Primary Health Centre, Olla Road, Ejigbo
• Popo Health Centre, Ejigbo
• Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria Hospital, Ejigbo
• Baptist Hospital, Ejigbo
Beneficiaries received baby essentials and words of encouragement, while healthcare personnel were commended for their dedication to maternal and child care despite prevailing challenges.
Delivering the goodwill message of the Osun State First Lady, Chief Mrs. Fatimah Adeola Oyewusi conveyed Her Excellency’s appreciation to the Ooni of Ife and the Hopes Alive Initiative for bringing practical support directly to grassroots communities.
She remarked that the Valentine Outreach reflects a shared commitment to protecting mothers and newborns, urging beneficiaries to make full use of the donated items and continue prioritising antenatal care and early-childhood health practices. The First Lady, through her representative, reaffirmed the state government’s support for initiatives that strengthen primary healthcare and uplift vulnerable families.
In her Remarks, Her Regal Majesty Olori Ambassador (Dr) Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, emphasised that HAI Valentine Outreach goes beyond charity, describing it as a mission of compassion rooted in Yoruba values of communal care and shared responsibility.
In the address delivered on her behalf by the HAI Team Coordinator, Pelumi Olajumoke, Olori Temitope noted that every mother supported and every child reached represents a step toward healthier communities, adding that the palace remains committed to people-centred development through sustained humanitarian engagement.
The Ejigbo outreach stands as another testament to the growing collaboration between royalty, government stakeholders, and grassroots healthcare providers — all united by one purpose: sharing love, one baby at a time.
More than a charitable visit, HAI Valentine Outreach 9.0 documents service in action, blending culture, leadership, and community impact, as Ifecityblog TV continues to tell authentic Yoruba stories from Ile-Ife (the Source) outward.
