Young women aged 18 to 25 are being invited to participate in the 2026 Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural Pageant, as this year’s audition and screening takes on a new format during Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife.
The Queen Moremi Ajasoro International has announced that the 2026 QMA audition and screening will hold on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Described by the organisers as a “totally different ball game,” this year’s audition brings the search for the next Queen Moremi into the heart of Olojo — one of Ile-Ife’s most significant annual celebrations of Yoruba culture, heritage and identity.
The initiative is championed by Her Royal Majesty, Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, Global Ambassador of Queen Moremi Ajasoro International, and wife of the Ooni of Ife, Arole Oduduwa, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II.
Inspired by the enduring legacy of the legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro, the cultural pageant seeks to promote values including culture, character, confidence, courage, leadership and purposeful representation.
For the 2026 edition, young women who meet the age requirement are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in the screening and audition.
With the audition taking place during Olojo Festival 2026, the Palace will become a meeting point for culture, heritage, leadership and the legacy of Moremi Ajasoro.
From Ile-Ife, the Source of Yoruba Civilization, the search for the next Queen Moremi begins.
