NEW BORN HEIR: HOUSE OF ODUDUWA DISSOCIATES WITH VIRAL PICTURES

The House of Oduduwa, Palace of His Imperial Majesty, the Arole Oodua Alayeluwa Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojaja II has officially denounced the pictures making the rounds on social media purportedly representing the newly born crown prince and hire to the sacred ancestral throne of Oduduwa.

In a statement signed by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni's Palace, Comrade Moses Olafare, the Palace disowned the circulated images claiming to be that of the new prince, describing it as a misrepresentation and urged the public to disregard them.

According to the statement, it is the sole descretion of the Arole Oduduwa, his father to publicly unveil the face of the baby which shall be done after the conclusion of all the necessary traditional rites currently ongoing.

The statement added that jubilations remain unceasing at the palace with the new born and her mother, the Yeyeluwa of the source, Olori Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi in perfect conditions.

The Statement reads: 
"OONI's NEW PRINCE: PALACE DISOWNS VIRAL PICTURES, SAYS TRADITIONAL RITES ONGOING
 
"This is to inform the general public that the picture of the new Prince has not been released to the public. We equally urge all Nigerians home and abroad to disregard the two pictures in circulation misrepresenting the newly born heir to the ancient sacred throne of Ooni who joined the Ogunwusi Royal family recently.

"His father Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife who has the sole right to make the face of the baby public is yet to do so as essential traditional rites to formally welcome the prince in accordance to our culture and traditions are still ongoing.

"The Arole Oduduwa wishes to unequivocally and emphatically state that the pictures are not that of his son, he wants the public to ignore the social media circulation of the pictures capable of threatening the privacy of the babies in those pictures and their parents.

"Journalists and bloggers are hereby urged to always verify sources of news materials and pictures before publishing or posting so as to avoid 'Invasion of Privacy' which is an actionable offense punishable by law.

"The child and mother doing perfectly well as the palace remains agog with daily jubilations and congratulatory visits.
