Davido Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has said that he made an estimated N13 billion in 2021 from his music and several endorsement deals. The suspect is also dead, authorities said. "There are four significant locations where gunfire took place in the City and County of Denver," Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen said at a news conference late Monday. CNN reports that the first shooting began just after 5 p.m., when three people were shot, leaving two adult women dead and one adult male injured, according to Pazen. Officer Accidentally Kills Child While Arresting Suspect In Los Angeles

Los Angeles police on Friday confirmed the death of a 14-year-old girl who was accidentally killed when an officer opened fire while arresting an assault suspect in a clothing store. In a statement released on Thursday, the police said they received calls about an armed attack at a store and when the officers arrived at the scene, they found several civilians sheltering inside the building. According to the statement, the officers opened fire at the suspect and took him into custody, meanwhile, the bullet passed through the wall of a dressing room and hit the girl. The US State Department says it is adding an additional $20 to the price of the Country's Passport books for all customers with effect from Monday December 27, 2021. The Department announced this in a tweet on Friday, citing the need to sustain the production of quality and secured travel document as reason for the price hike. “The increased fee is necessary to ensure we continue to produce one of the most secure travel and identity documents in the world.”⁠, The statement read in part. The fees collected for processing passport applications by the Clerk's Office as well as the fees for passport cards issuance are however unchanged.

Social media giant, Facebook said on Friday that it would begin to apply a Value Added Tax on Nigerians Advertising on its platform, beginning from 1st January, 2022. Facebook in a statement sent to its subscribers from the country informing them of the development said all advertisers are henceforth required to pay VAT irrespective of whether buying Ads for personal use or for business. It further added that all advertisers with a business country of Nigeria will be made to pay an additional 7.5% VAT on advertising services with effect from the said date.
