Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
In a message shared on social media, B-Red expressed deep admiration and gratitude, referring to his father as "a living legend, the dancing governor, the people’s governor." He wrote:
"Happy Birthday to My Hero, My Dad, My Governor! Today we celebrate a living legend, the dancing governor, the people’s governor, my father! Your strength, wisdom, and love for Osun State inspire me every single day.
"Thank you for being an amazing father and a fearless leader. I’m so proud to be your son, and I pray God continues to bless you with long life, good health, and more wins! More life, more grace, more vibes! Love you always, Daddy!"
Born on May 13, 1960, in Ede, Osun State, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke has had a distinguished career in both the private and public sectors.
Before entering politics, he held executive positions including serving as an Executive Director at Guinness Nigeria Plc and as Group Executive Director at Pacific Holdings Limited.
His political journey began in earnest in 2017 when he was elected as the senator representing Osun West Senatorial District. In 2022, he was elected as the sixth Executive Governor of Osun State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), defeating the incumbent governor at the time.
Governor Adeleke's tenure has been marked by initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic development in Osun State.
His administration has undertaken projects such as the construction of over 120 kilometers of roads, the renovation of schools and hospitals, and the implementation of programs to support small businesses and artisans.
Known for his charismatic personality and love for music and dance, Governor Adeleke has earned the affectionate nickname "the dancing governor."
His passion for the arts is reflected in his family’s involvement in the entertainment industry, with his nephew, Davido, and son, B-Red, both achieving success as musicians.
B-Red, born on July 23, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia, began his music career in 2013 and has since released several singles and an album titled The Jordan, which features a guest appearance by his father.
