A heartwarming blend of faith, child development, educational support, and community service unfolded in Ile-Ife during the 2026 Juvenile Harvest of Cherubim & Seraphim Church Oke-Iye Living Chapel, where special prayers were offered for the safe release of abducted school children and teachers, while scores of young beneficiaries received educational support through the Toyin Christiana Alabi Foundation.
The colourful programme brought together children, parents, church leaders, and community members in a celebration focused on nurturing the next generation through spiritual guidance, talent discovery, education, and humanitarian intervention.
One of the major highlights of the event was the presentation of school fees relief and educational materials to selected children by the Toyin Christiana Alabi Foundation, an organisation widely recognised for its commitment to supporting the less privileged and advancing community-focused initiatives.
The Foundation, under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Toyin Christiana Alabi, provided writing materials and educational assistance aimed at easing the burden on parents while encouraging academic excellence among young learners.
Speaking during the programme, church leaders emphasised the importance of investing in children as future leaders and nation-builders.
The General Overseer of the church, Most Senior Superintendent Apostle Bankole Omisope Banmosun, commended the Foundation for its continued intervention in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
"Every effort invested in the education and welfare of children is an investment in the future of our society. We appreciate individuals and organisations that continue to support young people and help them realise their God-given potential," he said.
In a deeply emotional moment during the gathering, worshippers joined in fervent prayers for the safe release of abducted students and teachers currently in captivity across parts of the country. The congregation also prayed for divine protection over schools, children, educators, and families.
Leading the prayer session, Senior Apostolic Mother Prophetess Omonike Omisope Banmosun called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith while supporting efforts aimed at protecting children and strengthening the nation's educational system.
"Our children deserve to learn in peace and safety. We pray that God comforts affected families, grants wisdom to leaders, and brings every abducted child and teacher home safely," she said.
Beyond the spiritual activities, the Juvenile Harvest featured talent discovery presentations, inspirational performances, children's activities, and educational engagements designed to encourage confidence, creativity, leadership, and moral development among young participants.
Many attendees described the event as a meaningful combination of worship and social impact, noting that it reflected the church's commitment to holistic child development.
Special recognition was equally accorded to Mrs. Toyin Christiana Alabi for her longstanding dedication to humanitarian service through the Toyin Christiana Alabi Foundation. Over the years, she has become widely known for supporting educational initiatives, assisting vulnerable individuals and families, empowering communities, and championing causes that promote hope and opportunity for those in need.
Community members at the event praised her unwavering commitment to philanthropy, describing her interventions as practical demonstrations of compassion and social responsibility.
Observers noted that the Foundation's support at the Juvenile Harvest further reinforced the growing importance of partnerships between faith-based organisations and philanthropic institutions in addressing societal challenges and creating brighter opportunities for children.
The 2026 Juvenile Harvest of C&S Church Oke-Iye Living Chapel ultimately served as a celebration of faith, learning, compassion, and community service, while reminding stakeholders of the collective responsibility to protect, educate, and empower the next generation.
