The Defence Headquarters on Saturday in a statement debunked the reports that its Defence Intelligence Agency declared a former Naval Commander, Commodore Kunle Olawunmi(Rtd) wanted over alleged anti-buhari comments in an interview on Channels TV.  The Director, Defence Information, Major General Benjamin Sawyer in the statement maintained that the Ex Senior Military Officer was only invited through a text message to seek for his contributions in the intelligence needed to fight the age-long insurgency war in the country, adding that a detailed release on the matter would soon be published. TORO VILLAGE KILLING: OONI'S PALACE CONDEMNS ACT, SAYS INCIDENT NOT A COMMUNAL CLASH

The palace of the Ooni of Ife has condemned the gruesome killing of about five persons in Toro Village on Friday by yet to be identified assailants. The Palace in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Public Affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare as obtained by Ife City Blog on Saturday described the incident as unfortunate and a sheer criminal act, noting that the perpetrators will not escape justice. The Osun State Police Command had earlier in a statement by its spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, stating that investigations were ongoing to unravel and apprehend the culprits. "The palace of the Ooni of Ife on Friday morning received with great concern, news of the reported killing of some persons numbering about five at Toro village, Ile-Ife. "Aside from condemning the unfortunate incident in strong terms, the Palace of the Ooni immediately reported the case to appropriate security authorities, who swung into action immediately", the statement read

A high-ranking group of elders in Ile-Ife have sent strong warning to inhabitants of the ancient city to maintain peace as June 12 remembrance is to be celebrated. The Elders made this known in a statement following a peace meeting led by High Chief Adekola Adeyeye, Lowa of Ife and Oba Idowu Adediwura, Obalufe of Ife with the security agencies in Ifeland on Friday as reported by McDonald Oladipo of The SOURCE Newspaper. The meeting held at Ooni of Ife's Palace also had in attendance Chief Ezekiel Onyejekwe, Eze Ndigbo, and Alhaji Isiaka Lawal, Seriki Hausawa, Ife Development Board and Ife Action Council. OSUN TO BEGIN RECRUITMENT OF AMOTEKUN CORPS

The Osun State Security Network Board has announced that it will begin the recruitment exercise for new Officers into the Amotekun Corps.  In a public statement signed by the Board's Secretary, Barrister Hassan Agbelekale on Monday, he said the recruitment exercise will commence on Monday 12th of April, 2021 and it will hold from 10am-4pm daily.
